I love the look of these pumps. The heel is great-- not too high, but still stylish. They are understated and elegant. I gave the shoe only 4 stars because it was just too large. I usually wear size 5, but following the advice of one reviewer I initially ordered the shoes in 5 1/2 to compensate for the pointy toe. They were huge. I returned them for size 5. The 5 was also huge and I had to return them also. I was very disappointed, because this shoe is beautiful and well-made. It is very difficult to find shoes with a heel of this height that isn't clunky-looking. I don't know why shoe manufacturers don't make more shoes with this kind of heel. I assume that in this case the manufacturer may have been making the shoes larger than normal so that the pointy front wouldn't feel so tight on the toes, but for me the result was unwearable. Apart from being too big, otherwise as far as I could tell these shoes were extremely comfortable. I would recommend purchasing a full size smaller than usual.
