This wallet has countless positive reviews - and now as its owner, I am also thrilled to praise it. The material of the wallet has a unique texture, but I certainly wouldn't describe it as a plastic wallet. The sailcloth is unique and I think it is stylish and that is has a comfortable feel to it. I don't find the wallet to be slippery and the finish isn't cheap or glossy in appearance. The wallet is thin and the design is straightforward. It is a bit deeper than my previous wallet, but I like that. When you think of most wallets, they would be long as this one is without the black ends. Again, I found this to be a benefit as it ensures the bills stay tucked away and not frayed by creeping to the edge of the wallet. The compartments hold credit cards firmly. I have a total of 6 cards in mine. The bill area works best when you have all of your bills to one side of the chamber. When you do that, folding the wallet only folds the bills once, hence making the wallet thinner. This thing is also very light. It is terrific for hot, humid days when leather wallets turn into clay lumps. A little perspiration won't ever bother the Flowfold. It is sleek in a front pocket or a side pocket of cargo shorts or pants. The "wallet bulge" is gone. I judge the wallet to be constructed well and expect that it will be with me for several years. Some reviewers noted that you are unable to view a photo ID as the plastic isn't completely clear that covers it. That's accurate and probably an area where the company could make an improvement, however, for me it's not a big deal to slide out the ID if somebody needs to look at it - I mean, how often does a person really do that? More places are requiring that you hand them you ID or license anyway in order to make sure it is authentic. So, don't let that deter you from buying this wallet. I wrapped a rubber band around it for the first week (after filling it with cards/cash) in order to expedite the break in process so the wallet stays folded when not in my pocket. Again, that worked well. This wallet needs a little time in your pocket to assume its desired shape and behavior - but isn't that true for most wallets. Overall, I am very glad I made this purchase and can say that this is the best wallet I have owned. I enjoy it and like that it has some style, but is also subtle (I have the black one). I would recommend it to anyone.
